About Roberta

April 11th, 2009

Roberta Gibbons was led to a life of service, passionate activism and volunteerism after traveling with her 10th grade class to the Minnesota State Capitol. It’s the same desire that leads her to now want to serve the people of Burnsville, Apple Valley and Rosemount as your State Senator.

Roberta grew up in a loving family of six on the southeast side of Rochester, MN. Her father, retired but still active in his local union, and her mother still live in the family home. Her two younger sisters and a younger brother all live in Burnsville and Apple Valley.

In 1992, Roberta and her husband Patrick along with their oldest son Christopher moved from Eagan to their current home in Apple Valley. They chose this area because they knew that District 196 had the top rated school district in the state and wanted the best education that their son could get. In 1995, the family grew with the addition of their youngest son, Michael.

Roberta’s life has been spent in service to her family, her church and the community. She wants to take the leadership experience that she’s gained and use them in service to the citizens of our district.

“I’m looking forward to meeting all of you,” Roberta recently said. “Please don’t hesitate to call or email me if you have any questions or issues that you would like to chat about. The issues that Minnesotans are facing can only be solved with innovative thinking and team work. And you and I are ‘THE TEAM’!”

My name is Roberta Gibbons and I would appreciate your vote on November 2, 2010!
